I really enjoy listening to the blues. However, listening to a studio recording of the blues is nowhere near the same as listening to a live performance. B.B. King is a great example. Vocally and musically, there is much more improvisation in his live work. Plus, there’s the banter with the crowd.
Here are a couple of my favorite B.B. King songs. Both performed live.
How Blue Can you Get?
Worry, Worry
By the way, if you’re looking to get just one B.B. King record, buy Live at the Regal. Awesome.
Nice. But do you know what would be nicer? If you could lend, er I mean give, me $80 to go see him at the House of Blues here in Dallas this Saturday. C'mon, help a brotha out.
Also, I really like his version of The Thrill is Gone.
